I feel fat... I've done nothing for the past few weeks except feel lousy and sit around stuffing my face with comfort food while lounging around in a big tank top pounding the keyboard.

I'm finally started to feel myself again... Returned to the gym yesterday and then afterwards went into the back yard to take care of my birds and put corn in the squirrel feeder. When I pulled on the squirrel feeder to remove the old eaten ear of corn the tree branch that it was attached to broke off, fell on me, broke apart into bits of rotten wood and covered me in termites and fire ants. Then as I was cleaning up the mess and rehanging the squirrel feeder it started raining really hard which was just as well as it washed all the nasties off of me.

I'm so sick of hearing about Michael Jackson. Maybe if I had been a big fan I would have more interest but I never bought any of his music and, while I think he was one of the music greats, I find it so odd the way all of a sudden the media is loving him again.

Spent all day today pounding the keyboard inside safe from the rain and mosquitoes. Christy wants to play racquetball this evening and I guess the exercise would be good for me but I'm still sore as hell from yesterday's backyard adventure so I'm not sure if I'll make it or not.

Newbie Licks Like a Pro

My coffee absentee experiment ended yesterday afternoon with a delicious Americanized cup of espresso.

Right after I had enjoyed drinking coffee again my doctor called and put me on Levaquin for three days. $52 dollars for three pills although I did use the online coupon for $15 off since my insurance didn't want to pay for them. It's making my ears ring, my skin is lizard like and my mind is like putty from it but at least I'm caffeinated again. Levaquin is seems to be an antibiotic from hell so I sure hope it kills the urinary track infection that keeps on coming back.

We have been having storms from hell almost every day. I guess it is a good thing that I'm replacing the storm shutters next week on all ten of the windows facing our backyard although with the way the economy has been I really don't need the extra expensive.

Yesterday I replaced the bird feeder that was destroyed in the last storm. Maybe I should get storm panels for it too.

Last Friday I went to the doctor for a UTI and he put me on antibiotics. Then Saturday night I was in excruciating pain and pissed out a small bloody stone or something. I was in so much pain that I drank about a quarter of a bottle of whisky, for lack of anything else for pain, and as a result ended up causing a bunch of stupid drunken drama. This was not helped at all by three of my even more drunken friends coming over to "help me."

Woke up feeling like a freight train was going through my head and had no idea where Christy was and couldn't remember much of anything.

Took a day and a half to put all the pieces together but all is well now, Christy is back home and things are mostly back to normal.

It is amazing the stupid shit one will do while drunk. I guess this is one of the reasons that I don't care for alcohol.

In other news... This trailer for the movie 2012 looks like it might actually be decent. I'm not a big fan of these types of movies but this does seem entertaining.

This is day 4 of no coffee for me. I'm not really sure why I'm not drinking coffee other than it just seems like something to try and maybe all the drama that I've been through the last few days is more than enough stimulation for me.

Today is going to be another record breaking hot day followed by what seems like record breaking rain so just a day of work planned as I have no desire to go out in the hot, muggy, rainy and mosquito infested outdoors.

Planning on hitting the gym early tomorrow morning, playing some racquetball, and working off some stress.

Haven't been doing much of anything except working and watching movies. Watched a pretty bad movie called Dirty Love that had anal fish fucking, puking and gushing menstrual blood.

We did get out this morning and went to the beach. At least it's one place that you can go to without first getting covered in mosquito repellent although getting covered in sun screen isn't much better. Other than being incredible hot the ocean was wonderful and the water is finally getting nice and warm, the way I prefer it.

I seem to have gotten our home insurance sorted out for now albeit at a much higher price then I would have liked to pay. I don't know what is going to happen with insurance in this state each year it keeps on going up in price and gets harder to get. Ironical I've now ended up with both the WIndstorm and Homeowners insurance with Citizens Insurance. Tomorrow someone is coming be to give me a quote on bringing all our storm panels up to code so that we can apply for a better discount.

Spent a good part of yesterday at the beach and I'm a bit sunburned where I missed with sun screen but really enjoying relaxing in the slat water.

Our insurance woes continue. It seems that because six of our windows have the older storm panels with dimples in them our house is not eligible for the hurricane rated discount. The news isn't all bad as we are still getting some discount for having shutters but it is a difference of almost a grand in premiums.

Got someone coming out within a week to give a quote on replacing the panels with dimples with panels that meet the newer code and to also make sure that all the rest of our panels are up to code. After the new panels are installed we are going to need another mitigation report and then our insurance will be prorated with the hurricane rated discount.

I figure that by the time we have paid for the new storm panels and two mitigation inspections this year's savings will be a wash but at least we will get the discount on next year's insurance.

Another hot, wet and muggy day in south Florida. Seems like lately I'm doing very little but working all day indoors. Maybe I should take up alligator wrestling or something. I seem to have excelled in feeding the mosquitoes on this evening's bike ride. Yesterday we received our windstorm insurance renewal. The fuckers hit us with a $1100 increase over the already outrages price it was last year. Tomorrow we are having a mitigation inspection to see if we can get a better rate but I'm not real hopeful. I love living less then a half mile from the ocean but insurance rates are getting insane here. Our house was built back in 1958 and has been through many hurricanes. It's actually located on high ground despite being so close to the beach so storm surge is not an issue. The only time it has had any hurricane damage, worse then a few broken roof tiles, is when a tree fell on it but now I keep all the trees well trimmed too far from the house to fall on it.

Damn, David Carradine was found dead in a Bankok hotel. He was old enough that him dying would not have been that unexpected, but hanging himself, what the fuck is that about? I had such a crush on him when I was young.
