Spent yesterday stocking up on fuel and food while most people were at work so as to avoid waiting in the long lines today. Already a lot of gas stations or out of gas I'm told by friends that tried to fill up their cars this morning although by this evening most had gas again.
A friend asked me to stop by and see why her generator wouldn't start. She left it outside in the rain for the past two years with a broken gas cap so the tank and carburetor was full of water and the whole generator was just a big rusted mess. She went generator shopping today and paid way too much for a generator. I don't get people that leave something expensive like that outside uncovered in the elements.
It's looking like IKe is going to go south of us but I've seen these storms turn unexpectedly so now we just sit and wait watching the storm track in case we need to put of the shutters.
Oddly the weather has turned beautiful, calm before the storm, so we went down to the beach this evening for pizza and took a long walk along the ocean.
