Hot flash start of the day...
Doctor put me on Niacin for three weeks in an attempt to get my cholesterol under control. I've been on ever increasing dosages of Statins for a few years and for the most part live on a low fat diet. My cholesterol test done on Monday came back "off the charts" he said so I'm taking Niacin for three weeks and then getting another cholesterol test.
About 15 minutes after I take Niacin I get a flushing warm effect and all of my skin turns bright red and then starts itching with a tingly feeling that feels like I rolled around in fiberglass insulation. The effects go away within an hour but it's a hell of a way to start the day.
Spent most of today mopping the floors, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the bathrooms, and basically cleaning the entire house. I love a clean house but despise doing it.
Going to fix myself and nice warm bubble bath with Epsom salt and relax.
