The utility people showed up first thing this morning and put the new utility pole in my backyard.
As soon as the workers were done a woodpecker started doing what woodpeckers do on the very top of it.
It's odd the way I can smell the pole as soon as I walk into the backyard. It's a tar like smell, very strong, reminds me of railroads for some odd reason.
I guess next the wires will get moved to it and then the old pole will get cut down. I'm going to try to get them to leave the part of the old pole that is part of my fence in place and have them cut the pole to the same hight as the fence.
It's almost that time of year again. That time of year when those that live on this part of this big spinning rock can go outside without melting. Looking forward to getting back into bike riding so ordered a phone mount for my bike this morning. Still haven't bought the new version of the iPhone with GPS but when I do the Path Tracker looks like it would be great to have.
