Got up insanely fucking early. Christine started back to school this week and she gets up at 6am for it. I usually I try to stay somewhat asleep but I got up with her this morning since the DirecTV installer was suppose to be here between 8 and noon to put in HD.
Naturally the installer didn't show up by noon and when I called DirecTV to bitch they gave me a $100 credit. Installer finally showed up around 4 pm but didn't know he was suppose to also move my old Tivo into the bedroom. Called DirecTV again to bitch and they gave me a $10 a month credit for the next six months after I agreed to have the installer come back next month to finish moving the old Tivo to the bedroom.
So I made $160 for bitching a lot and other then having the Tivo only half installed everything seems to be working great. The new non Tivo DVR doesn't seem that bad but it is nowhere as friendly as the Tivo was.
Can't wait to have the installer come back next month to finish and probably have to go through installer hell again...
