Microfiber does really clean up very easily.

Our house has about 2000 square feet of tile with cat doors to the outside yet Buster the cat chose to puke a big juicy pile of cat food in the middle of our brand new couch. Guess I should be happy that non of our cats have pissed on it yet. I wonder how well Macaw crap cleans off Microfiber?

Speaking of the new couch. We are really loving them but not loving the way all the pieces keep on sliding around on the tile. Went over to the Dollar Store and got a bunch of rubber grippers that are meant to help open jars and put one under each leg but after doing some searches online I found these things that Home Depot sells called Furniture Grippers.

The sky has turned black as night here and it looks like we are going to get one hell of a storm so the trip to Home Depot will have to wait for better weather.

Yesterday I called DirecTV about upgrading our dish and DVR to HD. Was told that I had to pay $200 for their non TiVo awful DVR and sign a two year contract plus a bunch of other fees for getting the new dish installed. Called them back a few hours later pretending to be wanting to cancel service and switch to Comcast cable and got the DVR, dish, and running a new cable to our bedroom to relocate the old SD TiVo all for $20 by signing a two year contract.

Today was suppose to be a stuck at home waiting for deliveries kind of day.

Both the TV and couch deliveries showed up in a timely fashion but it turned out that El Dorado didn't put the ottoman on the invoice.

I blame myself for not checking the invoice before leaving the store. Not wanting to be without the ottoman and not wanting to pay another delivery fee I chose to drive out to El Dorado furniture and then down to Miami to pick it up.

Not that the ottoman really fit in the back of my Vette. Got the ottoman in the back with the Vette's hatch closed but with my face pushed a few inches from the windshield and my tits touching the steering wheel. All I could think about driving home was that if I got rear ended the ottoman was going to decapitate me and if I rear ended someone the airbag was going to explode into my chest. To add to my fear we were getting topical rain storms from hell which always makes diving that much more exciting.

Finally got home, put the legs on the ottoman, and watched the movie There Will Be Blood with another couple after Christine got home. There Will Be Blood is a rather odd, very slow, and very long movie. We kept on waiting for the lead to die or something so that the movie would be over and then unexpectedly it ended.

Coming back from the couch store yesterday I almost hit a shopping cart on the freeway that fell off the back of a pickup truck at 70+ MPH. I could see a bunch of other cars colliding with it in my rear view mirror.

I see that much of what we put out for bulk trash has already has been taken by the trash scavengers that cruise our streets so I guess it doesn't matter if we put out a TV after this month's bulk trash has already been picked up.

New TV and couch is coming tomorrow. I called DirecTV today to get the info on upgrading to HD. I have to sign a two year contract and pay $199 for the HD DVR. I hate their non Tivo HD DVRs. Makes me want to switch back to Cable but I hate Comcast cable too. it's a real quagmire and I'm still very undecided on what I'm going to do. Going to run over to Target in a bit and pickup the GE HDTV Quantum Antenna so that at least I'll have over the air HD until I decide what to do not to mention it will come in handy if we get a bad storm and our satellite goes out.

Was going to go to the gym this morning but I'm really congested and coughing up stuff, not sure if I'm caching a cold or just allergies, hopefully it is just allergies.

I've finally decided to take the plunge and redo our TV room with a new couch and TV so today, after going to the beach for a few hours, we drove all over looking at couches and TVs.

We both fell in love with the this sectional from El Dorado and going to order it as soon as we can get back out there. The price is a bit under what we were willing to spend which is great and wow is it comfortable to sit in. The ottoman in the picture is not exactly what we wanted as it doesn't have any storage so we are still looking around at ottomans but it is close to what we want and may get it if we don't find anything better.

I'm replacing our old TV at the same time too. Wanted something bigger then the 55" one that is in there now but didn't want to spend as much as a plasma would have cost so going with the Samsung 67" LED Powered DLP that Amazon is selling for $2000 with free white glove shipping. Amazon also has a cheap stand for it that I'm going to order at the same time if I don't find anything better that is inexpensive but at $170 I doubt I'll find anything better.

Going to try to take a quick look at TV stands and ottomans tomorrow before going by El Dorado furniture to purchase the couch although we may have to wait until this week as Christine wants us to go down to attend auditions for a TV show.

Had Christine run me over to Pep Boys to pickup a new battery for my car last night so after not having a car for two days due to a bad battery I should be doing all the stuff that I wasn't able to do for the last two days starting with going to the gym this morning, but instead I've been in computer script hell with a hangover from hell.

Today probably wasn't the best choice to get involved in upgraded this Blog's script but this morning one of my tech friends IM me with a plugin for it that makes it easier to use from my iPhone. Thing is it required a newer version of my Blog then what I was running so ended up doing what turned out to be a major update to my Blog's script. I'll probably tweak its look over the next few weeks but I'm pretty happy with it already.

Seems like just yesterday that I had the battery replaced in my Vette.

Since I've been driving cars I've never gotten more then a few years out of a car battery so it was no big surprise when the battery in my Vette wouldn't take a charge again. Our TV sits catty-corner so there really isn't much reason to get a flat screen TV since it is just going to sit on a stand anyway and the DLP TVs seem to give a lot more bang for the buck especially in the larger sizes. Been looking at the Samsung HL67A750 67-Inch 1080p LED Powered DLP. I like that it uses LEDs instead of halogen lamps and the picture seems to be very good.

We also want to get a new couch for the TV room so now we are in a bit of a conundrum of which to get first.

Watched The Love Guru the day before yesterday. Didn't think is was as good as the Aston Powers movies but it had some pretty funny moments like the meeting in Mini Me's miniature office.

Ended up taking the passenger door all apart on my Vette and fixed the sticking door lock servo by drowning it in WD-40. Seems to be working just fine now. The dealer wanted almost a thousand bucks to fix it by replacing everything.

Then the satellite in my office went out. Best I can tell something ate the cable leading from the dish to my office. Spent about a half hour in hot sticky hell out in the rain fixing it.

Tomorrow is the day for people to shoot guns into the air, burn down their neighbor's homes, die from blowing themselves up or driving under the influence or from falling bullets.

Looks like we may get a visit from Bertha although it is way too far away at this point to know what the storm will do.
