My car's A/C is working better then it has in years so I guess the compressor has been dying for a long time. For the first time that I can remember it got real cold in the car right away.

Picked up Ana this afternoon in South Beach. She is staying with us for a few days so that we can do some shoots. Going to use my neighbor's house for shooting before I loose access to it and whatever other locations we can find.

Living in the land of sunshine going between my air conditioned house to my air conditioned car to the air conditioned mall to shop at the air conditioned store and eating at the air conditioned restaurant and then getting back in my air conditioned car and driving back to my air conditioned house.

I'm dreading shooting outdoors tomorrow in this summer heat and humidity but that is where the pool is.

Up insanely early to drop the Vette to get its A/C fixed.

New compressor, new dryer, new low side line (hopefully this will fix the slow leak that its had). Good news is it was ready by the afternoon but it did cost 1648.30 to fix.

Remind me again why I keep this expensive Chevy?

The inside passanger door handle on Christine's Toyota broke this morning on her car as I was getting out after she drove me home from the car place. She ran by the dealer and picked up a new one that I installed for her. WTF is it with cars this week?

I hate cars...

We did the gym this morning and then I spent another not so fun filled and exciting day of banging on the keyboard in order to pay for things like Corvette repair bills.

I should get "No good deed goes unpunished" tattooed across my forehead so that next time I think of doing someone a favor I can be reminded of why I shouldn't. Did a friend a favor and they e-mailed bitching that they weren't satisfied with what I got them. Mind you I didn't really want to pick this up for them in the first place and didn't make any money or anything off of the deal so WTF.

We did lunch with Christine's cousin and her boyfriend and then was suppose to go to a baby shower that a very pregnant stripper friend of mine was having but then my car's A/C decided to die.

I think my car's A/C compressor has gone bad so going to get up real early and bring it in. Not really looking forward to an expensive repair bill but mostly I'm dreading being without a car while it is being repaired. I'm guessing I'm looking at about two days down time and a bit over a grand in repair cost if it is the compressor. At least we have Christine's car to get around while the Vette is being serviced.

It's a really good thing that we do have Christine's car since Tuesday I'm suppose to go down to South Beach and pickup Ana and bring her up to stay with us for a few days while shooting some new content of her.

A friend of who suffered for years with them says that UTI-Clear has cured them so last night I ordered some. At this point I'd suck a chicken's asshole if I thought it would clear them up for good.

Trying to get back to normal, whatever that is, but between being a bit overwhelmed by playing catchup with everything and again having a UTI issue again not really succeeding very well.

Did the gym this morning but after playing racquetball for less then 30 minutes we came home and called my doctor for a script of Cipro. These recurring UTIs are really becoming too much to deal with.

Sandra Bernhard was excellent last night. I'm really lucky that I didn't get pulled over for spending or anything like last night since this morning I realized that my driver license, car registration, and insurance card were all still in my scanner after scanning them all last night so as to mail off copies for the five year renewal of my car's vanity license plate.

Tonight we realized that Christine will be going back to school very soon for her final four months. She has become such a big part of my life, as I have become a big part of her life, that these next four months are going to be very hard on the both of us.

Left for Key West this morning. We made it in good time and having a GPS rocks.

Fucking hot as hell so I ended up nude under the A/C in our room to cool off a few times.

Traffic wasn't bad at all. In fact we had some open stretches of highway, mostly after the seven mile bridge that we were doing well into three digit speeds. It would have been three hots and a cot if we had been pulled over I'm guessing.

The cottage is awesome and right off of Duval street so we can walk to the two main tourist areas of Key West. We like the cottage so much that we are going to try to stay an extra day.

Today we walked all over town today and since Christine had never been to a Ripley's Believe It or Not we went in the one down here.

Going snorkeling late tomorrow on the Carribean Spirit Catamaran and if we do stay an extra day will probably rent a scooter to explore the next day.

Tonight we are going to enjoy the private Jacuzzi that comes with our cottage and have a romantic evening.

Besides working I've been playing around with Debian/Linux. Since I don't really have a use for it all I've been doing is playing with Gimp and system settings.

Hooked up the AppleTV to one of my TVs. Mostly wanted it so that I had a remote for iTunes but it is kind of entertaining watching YouTube vids on it.

Other then that just been running errands and getting ready for our Key West trip. Hopefully this rainy weather that we've had today will clear up before we get down there but it isn't looking good.

Woke up with a nasty hangover from doing something stupid last night. Wouldn't be so bad if at least I had a good time but it was lame and not worth it.

Since I can install OSs into Parallels VMs without fear of messing up my laptop spent this morning messing around with Debian/linux once I was awake enough to sit upright in a chair. Today would have been a gym day but I had all I could do to get out of bed although I did do a pretty good job of puking.

I'm surprised how easy it was to get up and running. Also how Mac like it is.

About the only thing that really got me was having to turn on networking each time from an icon in the menu bar. Before I noticed the icon I was going half insane trying to figure out why I couldn't browse the web. Not sure why I have to turn on networking each time I login. I'm guessing that there is someplace to change this so that it is always on.

The other thing I can' figure out is why the maximum screen resolution is 1024x768 in the screen resolution control panel.

Not really sure what I'll use this install for other then to play around with but at least now I know a little bit more about running Debian/linux.

Kind of crashed and burned yesterday mostly due to my fucked up sleep routine. Still having a hard time getting back to normal today so today has been a quiet day of just doing computer work.

I've been feeling very burnt out the last month or so. Now that I'm feeling better Christine and I are going to get away for a few days in Key West next week for some much needed R&R and stay here. I just got the reservation confirmation a few minutes ago so the both of us are excited to be taking our fist trip together.

Woken up by a business call from a sound sleep this morning. The mainstream businesses that I'm involved in don't understand that I often work late into the night so they just think I'm a lucky bum who gets to sleep in. Trouble is once I've been woken up by business, especially when someone needs to come by my home office, I can't go back to sleep so I end up sleep deprived.

Play racquetball once I was done with morning business and then spent the afternoon selecting content to do the next few weeks of promotional stuff for my adult business.

Finished off the day with a bike ride over to my neighbor's place to tend to his cats and stuff. I needed to bring cat litter over and carried it on my bike's handlebars which made for an interesting ride over there. We played with his cats for about a hour and then relaxed in his pool before continuing on with our bike ride.

Calling it an early evening tonight as I've got mainstream business associates coming by in the morning and then just a day of working at home planed.

I got Christine a bicycle last week and we've been riding around the neighborhood but we hadn't yet gone over the drawbridge to the beach until today. Oddly despite her being the little tomboy she is new to riding a bicycle as an adult. Two days ago I got her to cross a major road, we went to where there was a traffic light, so today was a pleasant surprise when she really took to biking. Wow did we end up going for a long bike ride. I have a feeling that the two of us will be waking up very sore.

Finishing off the day with a long bike ride was just what I needed after a day of learning hell. I got the new Airport 802.11n Extreme Base Station and being old school tried to set it up manually. I could get it working, kind of, but iTunes wouldn't see the Airport Express so as to be able to steam music to the living room stereo. After spending many hours fucking with everything I finally reset both Airports back to factory setting using a paper clip and then used the guided setup to set things up . This took all of about five minutes and worked perfect without any hassles. Live and lean I guess. I mostly got the new Airport because of its ability to have a network drive attached to it and I got to say it works really well.

Between bike riding and fucking with networks all day I didn't get any real work done so going to be a working day tomorrow after going to the gym in the morning.

Christine's cousin came over today. We watched some movies and then spent a few hours in my neighbor's pool. Later in the day we all went over for sushi.

Another very relaxing but very unproductive day. Not sure what is up with me the last few weeks but I've just not been able to get into the grove of working like I usually do.

Planning on doing the gym tomorrow morning and then I really need to try to get back to a more normal working routine.

My friend Heather came by today. She's a dancer but has taken time off from work to have a child and is now looking very pregnant... but still very cute.

The three of use, four if you count the unborn boy, went out for sushi and then we vegged on the couch watching a movie.

Later some more friends came by so I've had a very nice but very unproductive day.

Looking to get away for a few days sometime in a week or two. We thinking of going down to Key West. I haven't been down there in some years but I've always enjoyed going down there and just kicking back for a few days. Found this listings of cottages so going to rent a little cottage instead of going the hotel route like I usually do.

As much as I need to work going to call it an early evening and go to the gym first thing in the morning. I think we are suppose to go visit with Christine's cousin tomorrow but plans often change so who knows.

Woken up by business phone calls this morning that required me to actually get out of bed and try to communicate in a somewhat coherent manner. Using a pencil to write down some info was a bit challenging for my still asleep brain.

Played racquetball once the both of us were awake enough to bounce around in a box with a little ball and then the two of us passed out on the couch watching some more episodes of Dead Like Me.

Came back to life late in the afternoon and we went for about a ten mile bike ride through Victory Park down to Las Olas. It's been a long time since I've done much biking and I'm absolutely loving it although I have a feeling that I'm going to be very sore tomorrow.

We finished off the day by having sushi at Shizen after coming home and getting cleaned up. Christine seems to be really knackered and I'm just glad to be climbing into bed.

Unfortunately, while getting lots of exercise, I didn't get any work done today and tomorrow I've got friends coming by so I doubt I'll get much, if anything at all, done tomorrow.

Woken up way too early by the Florida construction licensing board...
Besides marketing nasties I'm still involved in the air conditioning industry and we have gotten an insane customer from hell who now has filled a complaint against me. Despite us giving her all the paperwork showing that we sold her what we were suppose to have sold her is insisting that we sold her something else. Every time we try to get the city out to inspect the work she says that she can't have the inspection because she is not feeling well due to chemotherapy. There just is no pleasing this woman so I'm not really sure what to do other then to show the state that we haven't done anything wrong.

Nice way to start my day, not. This afternoon wasn't much better...
Had a doctor stick a scope up into my bladder this afternoon to take a look around which really wasn't much fun although not as bad as I feared. He didn't really find anything conclusive but does want to take a look in me again in one month to reexamine something in my bladder that looked suspicious and may need surgery. More tests to look forward to, oh joy.

My life is getting back to normal. Normal for me anyway.

We just got in from eating sushi. Nice to be eating normal again.

Spent most of the day trying to get somewhat caught up in work. Between being sick and having a lot of other distractions the last few weeks I've accumulated a huge back log of to dos along with a getting very behind in the promotional stuff that I normally do to keep the checks coming in.

Did take a break and watched a few more episodes of Dead Like Me with Christine plus we went for a short bike ride and relaxed in my neighbor's spa to cool off.

Speaking of my neighbor... He had surgery today and they removed his gallbladder and pancreas. He is in critical condition but if he make it I'm told that he can still live a decent life. I actually didn't know that a person could live without a pancreas.

And speaking of medical problems... I'm have a scope stuck up into my bladder tomorrow afternoon to see what's up with all these UTIs that I've been getting. Hopefully nothing bad will be found but I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous about what they may find.

Getting old is a bitch but it's better then being dead.

Fuck it is hot and sticky out today...

Feeling a lot better and played racquetball this morning with Christine. It was the first time back to the gym in about ten days so took it easy but it was really nice to be getting back to being active again.

Other then slaving to the computer off and on all day I've been taking breaks from work and watching Dead Like Me. I have both the seasons on DVD and Christine has never seen all of them so we've started watching them from the beginning.

Also today I borrowed my neighbor's bike so that Christine and I could go biking together. We went for a short ride but the back rim is bent so going to drop it off at the bike shop tomorrow.

Like most people I know I've spent most of my adult life searching for companionship.

Done the bar scene, the swinger scene, the drug scene, the romance at work scene, and just about every obscene scene.

Odd that the relationship that I now find myself in came to be with a knock at my front door while I was vegging out on my couch and it's looking to be the relationship that I've been searching for my whole life.

Went looking to find a good book on CSS. It's like I'm learning how to write web pages all over again as I'm slowly switching away from html tags to css tags. Much of css is pretty easy to understand but some of it has me baffled like how to have everything positioned on the page without using tables. This new version of GoLive pretty much does everything in css instead of html tags so I have to either stick with an old version or move on to using css and since I'm told that css is the future I'm forcing myself to change how I work. Kicking and screaming onward...

I seem to be over the worst of this UTI that I got. Still have a doctor's appointment for Thursday to have a scope stuck up in me trying to figure out why I keep on getting them but at least this latest one seems to be clearing up. Planning on playing racquetball first thing in the morning with Christine. It will be my first time back to the gym in over a week so I'm both really looking forward to it and dreading it.

Just another rather uneventful day on this rainy day.

Yesterday I picked up the Harman Kardon's SoundSticks for my office. I'm really impressed with how fucking good these things sound.

Thought maybe today I could get back to the gym but last night I had night sweats really bad and I'm running a mild fever so the gym is going to have to wait another day or so. I run out of antibiotics tomorrow so going to go see my doctor for more. If he gives me a hard time about continuing on antibiotics I'll find another doctor as I truly believe that his reluctance to put me on antibiotics right away resulted in me getting far sicker with this.

Going over Borders Books to get a book on CSS. I'm starting to get the hang of this new version of GoLive and have changed much of the way I produce web pages to accommodate its way of doing things and a better understanding of CSS seems to be needed.

Just another excited fun filled day of marketing the nasties and doing the errands of this mundane existence.

Had to run over to Sephora to get some makeup and stuff. There is an Apple store in the same mall as Sephora and I needed to pickup a new keyboard so I checked out the iPhone while I was there.

The phone is a lot smaller then I thought it would be and feels very solid and well made. The fit and finish on it is exquisite. It looks and feels like a piece of fine jewelry.

Took me like 2 seconds to figure out how to use it and the first thing I did was open Safari and start surfing the web.

Typing on it is fantastic and I found myself using my thumbs right away to type with. When looking to see if I had spelled something correctly in the address bar a magnifier came up over the text and followed my finger so that I could easily read the text.

I was using the Apple store's WiFi to surf so surfing was super fast, as is the whole interface, but I've heard that EDGE is painfully slow. Living were I do WiFi is everywhere so this would not be that big of a deal for me, but still...

Christine found the IM program and was playing with it and loved the keyboard too. She called her cell phone from it and we tried calling it back to fuck with whoever picked it up but the calls went to voice mail.

The built-in camera sucks with no zoom and hideous color in anything but very bright light.

They had plenty of the 8 gig models in stock.

Using Safari I opened up one of the iPod movies that is on Angel's server and it played almost instantly but a few pixels on each side of the movie was cut off. Movies on the iPhone are very watchable and the quality is amazing.

Still real weak from what I had and far from over it so just going to be taking it easy for the next few days while getting some work done.

I've been insisting that I needed to be put on antibiotics for a few weeks now and all the doctors wanted to do was keep on giving me even more tests saying the the cultures were coming back negative for bacteria each time in the past. So each time they would either put me on antibiotics for a few days or none at all. When they did put me on antibiotics always just as I would start feeling a bit better I would run out of antibiotics and then get even worse. The doctors would then tell me that it wasn't good to keep on taking antibiotics and that I didn't need them anyway. All the time I keep on getting worse with each outbreak.

Then yesterday while I'm getting CT scanned my doctor calls saying that my latest culture came back and I need to get on antibiotics right away.

Now less then 24 hours on Sulfameth/Trimethoprim 800/160 Tabs I almost feel back to my normal self. This time I've been put on them for a few weeks.

Personally I think the doctors conservative use of antibiotics on me resulted in me getting much worse.

Other then that my life is going great...

This relationship is going very well and we have been living together for a bit over three months. It's been many years since I've lived with someone but it's like we have lived together for many years in that we get along so well and have already fallen into a routine where we each contribute, doing the things that are needed in maintaining a home, without having to ask anything of each other or feeling like one is doing more then the other. Really I couldn't ask for a better companion to live with.

Had a CT scan this afternoon and then it has just been a boring day of work. Next week I'm having a scope stuck up in me to look into my bladder and my friend that had this done says it is pretty dreadful so I'm not looking forward to this at all but whatever it takes to clear up this problem I'll go for.

Still need to pickup a new keyboard as a few keys on this one seem to have stopped working after spilling cold cereal on it. It sure makes typing interesting having a few keys that only work sometimes.

If feeling like crap for the last few weeks wasn't enough to get me behind in work I've been struggling with learning this new version of GoLive. I've been wanting to use CSS more and this version does everything in CSS so I'm basically leaning to code my pages all over again.

Hopefully soon all this will be behind me and things will have returned to my normal twisted life.

Spent most of yesterday at doctor's offices for female troubles.

You have to love how we are given a little white paper sheet to lay over us in case I'm the modest type as I'm spread wide in stirrups having shit stuck in me. I know I feel goofy holding my little white sheet trying not to act embarrassed while everyone in the room is looking up my crotch. Then afterwards the team of doctors and nurses are kind enough to leave the room so that I can get dressed without maybe feeling uncomfortable due to someone being in the room while I put my thong and pants back on. Maybe everyone in the room should just get naked and do away with the little white paper sheets.

I have some more fun exams coming up in the next few weeks but it's no big deal as I'm sure that I'll be given more little white paper sheets to cover my nakedness including one on Thursday for a CT scan done at the hospital that I refused to pay the last two co-payments to. I wonder if I'll have to pay up before they will do my CT scan? Maybe I can just give them a few cases of slightly used white paper sheets.

I need to go buy another new keyboard today as mine has a bad case of sticky keys due to a bowl of cereal being spilt in it last night. Other then that just a few other errands to run and then back home to try to play catchup on work.
