Isn't technology wonderful... many of my clocks changed themselves. Oh wait, not the old navy windup one on my wall, not the atomic clock in my bedroom that can't get a signal in my bedroom, not the microwave, not the stove, not my car clock, and I'm sure I'll find a few more. Changed most of these but still have a few more to go.
DIrecTV Tivos will stop working today unless they can make a phone call and they are not able to make a phone call through a Vonage phone line. Yesterday I ran a line from the phone line that runs to my backup ADSL so mine is fine but my neighbor, who has three DIrecTV HD Tivos, does not have anything but a Vonage line so none of his Tivos will be working today.
Went up to Palm Beach for a friend's birthday today. I-95 was even worse then its usual construction traffic hell so I switched over to the Florida Turnpike and finally used the Sunpass that I bought last year. Traffic was moving great and I got to open up the throttle on my Vette, crank up the music, and really enjoy the ride. Not wanting to get a ticket I mostly stayed with the flow of traffic but the flow of traffic was moving at rate that would have earned a really nasty speeding ticket. I've always been amazed and how much faster people drive here then in other places I've been not that I'm complaining at all. Sunpass is great, I was really happy that I had picked it up on a whim last year while grocery shopping. Being able to fly though the toll plazas and bypassing the long lines just added to the enjoyment of the ride.
Most likely I'm just staying in tonight and watching my two favorite shows, Battlestar Galactica and The L Word.
