Wow not even one hurricane this year!
I'm still slowly using up all the gasoline in my car that I had stored for the generator but at this rate I'm using it, 5 gallons each fill up since it is regular and my car uses premium, I'll still be using it by next year's hurricane season.

Back to normalcy for me now that I have a car again. Did the gym this morning and just a day of work and errands.

I seem to be ending up with a shit load of cordless phones. Every time I buy a few sets something better comes out. Today I picked up four of the GE DECT 6.0 with a speakerphone in the headset. I mostly wanted the speakerphone feature but these also seem to have a better range then my old 5.7 Ghz ones.

Not sure what I'm doing this evening if anything at all but I do need to hookup with FoxyAngel for some work related stuff sometime tonight.

Got my car back around noon. They washed it and took care of a recall item that I had never bothered to take it in for which was a nice touch. Clutch feels oddly different but is working great. Still need to get new front tires for it but hopefully nothing else will break for awhile. I do really love driving this car so don't mind spending money on.

Nothing else really going on. I need to get some work done but I'm feeling a bit burnt out today so may just goof off the rest of the day as a friend will be here in a bit. I did put a new rope light in my backyard this afternoon so looking forward to seeing how it looks once it gets dark.

Just another carless day here but I should get mine back tomorrow so I'm not going through the trouble of renting a car. I took my bicycle for a ride and rode over to the car place to check on its progress. It was nice going for a ride, first time in a long time, and I may go down to the beach later tonight on it.

MPAA Lobbying for Home Theater Regulations
"The MPAA is lobbying congress to push through a new bill that would make unauthorized home theaters illegal. The group feels that all theaters should be sanctioned, whether they be commercial settings or at home.

MPAA head Dan Glickman says this needs to be regulated before things start getting too far out of control, "We didn't act early enough with the online sharing of our copyrighted content. This time we're not making the same mistake. We have a right to know what's showing in a theater."

The bill would require that any hardware manufactured in the future contain technology that tells the MPAA directly of what is being shown and specific details on the audience. The data would be gathered using various motion sensors and biometric technology.

The MPAA defines a home theater as any home with a television larger than 29" with stereo sound and at least two comfortable chairs, couch, or futon. Anyone with a home theater would need to pay a $50 registration fee with the MPAA or face fines up to $500,000 per movie shown.

"Just because you buy a DVD to watch at home doesn't give you the right to invite friends over to watch it too. That's a violation of copyright and denies us the revenue that would be generated from DVD sales to your friends," said Glickman. "Ideally we expect each viewer to have their own copy of the DVD, but we realize that isn't always feasible. The registration fee is a fair compromise.

The bill also stipulates that any existing home theaters be retrofitted with the technology or else the owner is responsible for directly informing the MPAA and receiving approval before each viewing."

Guess we all will need to start charging our friends for coming over and watching a movie.

Just a day of work and doing stuff around the house without much else planned. I dropped my car off at the dealer's night drop late last night so I don't have a car today although I have a date tonight so it isn't like I'll be stuck home all day.

Had a very nice Thanksgiving over at my neighbor's place. Today is the big shopping day but I think I wait until the after black Friday sale sales.

Did the gym first thing this morning and then went by the Chevy dealer to get a price on getting a new clutch in my Vette. The car place that I normally take it to wanted 3k to do it which I knew was overpriced. Dealer is doing the work for about half that next week and should take about two or three days. Still haven't decided if I'm going to rent a car or just be carless for a few days. Might be a good time to get back into bicycling now that the weather has cooled off and not having a car for a few days should motivate me.

Wasn't sure if I wanted to spend money on my Vette or get a new one so I went and looked at the new Vettes last week thinking maybe it was time to trade mine in. I took a new one for a test drive and I like mine more. It would be nice having a new one and all but I really like the lines on mine more plus I've got a killer audio system in mine not to mention no car payments.

Mine has 72k miles on it but I drive less then 500 miles a month and it just sits in my garage most of the time so I guess I'm going to hang on to my old Chevy for awhile.

Doing Thanksgiving at my neighbor's place this year. I'll be doing some tofu dishes and another friend is doing the turkey and ham. Spent a good part of today picking up stuff and getting everything together for Thursday.

Hopefully this bit of cold weather we are having will have ended by Thanksgiving but it is a nice change for a few days and I've been enjoying being able to wear some different clothes other then jeans and tank tops.

Tonight is just a night of rest watching movies with my neighbor and since I've gotten almost no work done today tomorrow I'll be doing catchup.

Yesterday I was using a mirror to look at my new tattoo and noticed that I didn't like the way my upper back looks so today at the gym I added another machine to my workout that targets those muscles. It's a rowing type machine and I can already feel the soreness in that part of my back.

Hydraulics on my clutch is leaking from the slave cylinder which is inside of the clutch housing so to replace it you basically have to remove the whole clutch so might as well replace the clutch while at it. 'm looking at around $3000 for everything. So now I'm trying to decide if I want to get the Vette repaired or trade it in on a new one.

Went by the local Chevrolet dealer and priced a new Vette. Naturally they wanted to give me a really crappy trade in price on my Vette but the NADA on mine is about 20k. Will probably visit a few more dealers over the weekend and see what kind of deals I'm offered. If I do decide to get mine fixed they will need it for three to four days and I told them I would give it to them on Monday.

Will probably just get mine fixed but a new Vette would be nice.

Today has left me a bit aggravated so will probably just chill at home and get some work done.

Went for a followup doctor's appointment this afternoon and did some shopping. The excitement of my life sometimes bores me to death.

Last night I went to bed really early, early for me anyway, and got a good night's sleep. I feel like a new woman today well rested and all. Guess this means it must be time to do a little partying or at least do something unhealthy tonight.

My face hurts or I should say my jaw muscles hurt. I'm told it's normal but damn I hurt more today then I've hurt since getting surgery. Seems like the more the swelling goes away the more the muscles in my face hurt. Eating is still a challenge but I am loving the way things are looking. After I'm fully healed from this I may do a few other minor things but I'm pretty much done with cosmetic surgery for awhile now. Getting old is a bitch. lol

Finally blue skies and nice weather again and it's suppose to be cool enough thought that I may get to wear a jacket and a bit more clothes then my usual tank top and jeans. Went over to outlet mall by me and found some more clothes for the gym. I'm probably got enough now with the stuff that I found last week unless I spot something that I really like. It's nice to have clothes for the gym again as the ones that I was wearing were from last year and were way too big on me now.

Seemed kind of strange question to ask. I mean like who would want to walk around for almost a whole extra week with stitches in their face? Anyway I'm getting mine out just after noon on Thursday.

Most of my swelling has gone down in my face but now I've got a lot of bruising so I kind of look like I've been in a bar fight or ran into a brick wall drunk a few times. Will probably spend the daylight hours hiding. Guess it's actually is a good thing that it's getting dark at 5:30 in the afternoon since I'll probably be living a vampire's life for the next week.

Watched the movie Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang with my neighbor last night. Movie was obscure, funny, different, and very entertaining. It was one of those movies you would want to watch a second time or maybe even a third. I started hurting last night so took some pain meds which didn't help my movie comprehension at all and smoking a little weed didn't help either.

Afterwards we hit the strip club where I had a few martinis and I got pretty wasted but had a very good time. My neighbor got a little Jealous that the dancers paid more attention to me then him and thought that they were all lesbians. Stopped taking pain meds today since I'm not in pain anymore but wow do I have a hangover from them and I guess it is going to take a day or two to totally detox from them. Although I am glad that I've some left over as they will be great when I get a lower back tattoo soon, at least as soon as I find one that I really like.

Ordered a hand cranked pump this morning to use in using up my generator fuel in my car. I've been putting around five gallons a week in my car but need to start using it up faster. The fuel is regular gas and my car takes high-test gas so I don't want to put too much in my car at a time but I also don't want the gas to go bad sitting around.

I'm sick of hiding in my house so will get out and do something. Maybe I'll go over and checkout the Macy's by me that just reopened. I need to get a new pair of baby hoop earrings as the ones that I always leave in the second hole on each ear had to be removed for surgery and I seem to have lost one on the way home from the doctor's office. Other than that just a day of work and errands planed for today.

Eating still seems to be rather challenging as I can't really open my month very far and I'm not suppose to chew on anything hard.

Maybe I'll see if my neighbor wants to hit the strip club tonight and go play with naked woman.

I feel fine but look kind of like someone hit me in the face a few dozen times with a frying pan, although not back and blue at all, so going out in public probably isn't a great idea. I always swell a lot from surgery and this time is no different. It's kind of like my face got much wider as I'm swollen only on the sides of my face and down the sides of my neck.

Hopefully by tomorrow the swelling will have gone down enough that I'll be comfortable enough to get out and do stuff. The Macys by me reopened today after being destroyed by hurricane Wilma last year and would love to go by and check it out.

Had surgery yesterday and everything went well. Last night was a bit of a bitch as I sleep on my side and the pillow pressing on the sides of my head hurt but other than that not much pain or discomfort.

Went today for the followup and got the bandages off. Other then some swelling I just have a line of stitches in front of each ear going up into my hairline that I can hide with my hair until it heals.

Other than seeing my doctor this morning not much planned for today. Will most likely spend the rest of the day working and maybe hit the mall over by me for a few hours.

It's a cosmetic kind of day today.
